Half Grand Cambodia Tour: The Essential Journey

The "Half Grand Cambodia" package is the ideal itinerary for travelers with limited time who wish to experience the two most defining and historically significant destinations in the country: Siem Reap (Ancient History) and Phnom Penh (Modern History and Culture).

Key Components of the Tour:

1. Siem Reap: The Heart of the Khmer Empire

The majority of the tour time is dedicated to the ancient wonders of the Angkor Archaeological Park.

  • Angkor Wat: Witness the world-famous sunrise over the main temple, followed by a detailed exploration of its stunning bas-reliefs and architecture.

  • Angkor Thom: Explore the ancient capital, including the iconic, multi-faced towers of Bayon Temple and the Terrace of the Leper King.

  • Ta Prohm: Visit the atmospheric "Tomb Raider" temple, famous for the giant tree roots that intertwine with the stone ruins.

  • Optional: A quick visit to the floating villages on Tonle Sap Lake or an evening at Pub Street.

2. Phnom Penh: The Dynamic Capital

This segment offers a crucial insight into Cambodia's royal present and its complex recent past.

  • Historical Sites: A required visit to the sobering Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21) and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek to understand the Khmer Rouge era.

  • Royal & Cultural Highlights: Explore the Royal Palace and the adjacent Silver Pagoda, and visit the majestic Wat Phnom.

  • Riverside Experience: Enjoy a stroll along the Tonle Sap and Mekong rivers or an evening sunset cruise.
