The destinations were beautiful, and the guide was very helpful. Some parts of the schedule felt a bit rushed, but we still truly enjoyed the trip. Ms. Nancy is a superstar — she is an excellent staff member of Seagulls Travel. We will definitely return to Vietnam with Seagulls Travel.

Vietnam welcomed 6.76 million international visitors in the first three months of the year2026, up 12% year-on-year and the highest quarterly figure ever recorded. With nearly 2.1 million international visitors in March, Vietnam has for the first time achieved a new record of receiving over 2 million visitors for three consecutive months in a year, according to Vietnam National Administration of Tourism. This result underscores the appeal, resilience, and growing strength of Vietnam’'s tourism sector amid an uncertain global environment, it added. Of the total 6.76 million international visitors, 82.3% arrived by air, 15.5% by land, and 2.2% by sea. The administration said that the dominance of air travel highlights Vietnam’s strong appeal to mid- and long-haul markets that are particularly sensitive to geopolitical shifts and fuel costs. In the context of the Middle East conflict causing soaring oil prices and disrupting some international flights, the high number of visitors arriving by air reflects connectivity and affirms international tourists' confidence in a safe, stable, and accessible destination, the administration added. 10 largest sources of visitors to Vietnam Q1 2026 Mainland China South Korea Russia Cambodia Taiwan US Japan India Australia Malaysia 0 500k 1 000k 1 500k Mainland China and South Korea continue to be the two largest source markets for tourists to Vietnam, accounting for approximately 40% of the total international visitors. Southeast Asian markets recorded strong growth, including Malaysia (up 21.5%), Singapore (30%), Cambodia (41%), Indonesia (44%), the Philippines (69%), and Thailand (6.5%). Vietnam has set a target of receiving 25 million international tourists this year. Thailand, whose economy heavily relies on tourism, recorded a slight decline in international tourist arrivals in the first quarter of the year with 9.1 million, down 2.29% year-on-year.

The selection of Sơn Đoòng as a filming location by one of the world’s most prestigious television program is seen as a major media milestone for Quảng Trị’s tourism sector and for the World Natural Heritage site of Phong Nha – Ke Bàng National Park. Beyond promoting the destination, the program provided valuable scientific and documentary material highlighting the area’s ecosystem, geology and conservation efforts. It is expected to enhance global awareness of the heritage site’s outstanding values while encouraging sustainable and responsible tourism development. The provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is coordinating with relevant agencies to implement a multi-platform communication campaign targeting key domestic and international markets, aiming to position Quảng Trị as a leading adventure tourism hub in Asia and an attractive destination in Việt Nam. Lê Minh Tuấn, Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the broadcast of the Sơn Đoòng feature on 60 Minutes presented a major opportunity to introduce the province’s tourism image to international audiences and attract high-quality international visitors. The province plans to maximize the program’s media impact to strengthen promotion activities and develop distinctive tourism products linked to natural resource conservation and sustainable growth. Throughout 2026, Quảng Trị will host a series of cultural, sports and tourism events, beginning with Quảng Trị Culture and Tourism Week from April 24 to May 1, followed by the Festival for Peace running from April to December, alongside preparations for Visit Việt Nam Year – Quảng Trị 2027.
