Itinerary

day 1

Day 1: (Friday) Hanoi – Ha Giang (320km - B, L)

Today, we will have a long drive from Hanoi passing through the vast land of palm plantation. Lunch in a mountainous town mid way. We will visit a Tay minority village before enter Ha Giang town. The village is surrounded by terraced paddy fields and dotted with stilt houses. Walking around the village with your tour guide to see their daily life and enjoy the drink with the families in the village. Then, biking through the village in the peaceful twilight. You will return to Ha Giang in the late afternoon and check in to a hotel. Overnight in Ha Giang.

day 2

Day 2: (Saturday) Ha Giang – Dong Van (160 km – B, L, D)

Today we will experience a spectacular day of driving through amazing mountainous landscapes nestled up against the border with China. About 50km’s out of Ha Giang, the road zigzags its way up the amazing Quan Ba Pass eventually providing a spectacular view over Quan Ba town and the surrounding countryside. Opportunities to take photographs will be provided along the way. We end our day’s journey at Dong Van, an isolated town on top a small hill. Dong Van rocky plateau – One of 77 geological parks in the world and the Second largest geological park in Southeast Asia - is very beautiful with mountains, forests, hidden grottoes and multi-colored orchid forests. Overnight in Dong Van.

day 3

Day 3: (Sunday) Dong Van – Meo Vac – Ha Giang – Tay’s Homestay (170 km – B, L, D)

In the morning, we visit Dong Van minority market - one of the most beautiful minority weekly markets in Vietnam. Great moment for photos at the market and Pho Bang ancient street of Chinese people dating back 100 years ago. You will see H’mong, Dao, Lo Lo, Pa Then minority people in their beautiful dresses flock at the biggest market fair of the region. Mid-morning, we reach to the peak of Ma Pi Leng. From here you are able to admire most stunning scenery in North Vietnam with panoramic views of a rocky mountain, a river and paddy field terraces. After lunch, we will drive back to Ha Giang where we spend the night in the village of Tay minority people. The village offers the best homestay among Vietnam and surely, you will get home with unforgettable experience.

day 4

Day 4: (Monday) Ha Giang – Hanoi (320 km – B, L)

Wake up early to observe the local lifestyle and immerse yourself in the tranquil mountainous scenery. Return to Hanoi. Lunch en route. Arrive in Hanoi around 5 pm. Tour ends at your hotel.
