Hanoi – Thai Nguyen – Bac Son (L, D)

Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi. We will arise to go to Bac Son via Thai Nguyen province. Upon arrival the village, check in your homestay. The homestay is house on stilts of Tay people set in a peaceful valley. Have lunch with the family. Follow lunch, by vehicle to the starting point where will start our trek on the trail through the lush valley, villages to see Dao people, chance to get familiar with the Dao and play with the school children who rarely see foreigners. Your appearance will bring them a great chance to practise their English. Trek back to the main road, back to the homestay before dark. Dinner with family. At night indulging in the spiritual life of the community by attending the Then singing performance.

Day 2: Bac Son – Hanoi (B, L)

After breakfast with family, we will visit the village and to see the process of making tile from clay. We will then proceed to local market where everyone is gathering to buy fresh vegetables, foods, medicine …After the market, we will visit Bac Son Museum where the first armed uprising against French in 1940 was imitated. Continue trekking up to Na Lay summit where you have the overview of the valley. You can see stunning view of the rice paddies surrounded by Karst territory worth for your steps. Descending and we will transfer to the next town. Visit the giant cave which was used to store weapons during the French war. Enjoy lunch with a local family before heading back to Hanoi. Tour ends at your hotel at 6 pm.
