8:30: Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi. We begin our trip with a visit to Ho Chi Minh complex including Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh’s living quarter. We will then visit a temple having the most unique architecture called One Pillar pagoda or Dien Huu pagoda which literally means long lasting happiness and good luck. The pagoda was built in 1049 on the orders of King Ly Thai Tong, resembled a lotus blossom, the Buddhist symbol of purity. Inside, the altar was dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy. The Temple of Literature will be your next stop in the morning. It is dedicated to Confucius and his disciples, was founded in 1070 by Emperor Ly Thanh Tong. Have lunch with famous Pho Hanoi.
A short drive to the outskirts of Hanoi where we will visit a traditional lacquer village with a history of over 200 years of development. Admire the finest product of talented artisans, and learn about the process of making a lacquer product. Drive back to Hanoi. Take a break and watch life pass you by whilst sampling Vietnamese coffee or perhaps a milk shake at a lake view cafe. Tour ends at your hotel.
